Message from Leader of the Council

Bradford has a young, rapidly growing population which creates the potential for our people to contribute significantly to regional economic growth over the next decades.

I also believe that the diversity of the District is a huge potential strength with strong links with some of the fastest growing economies globally.

All of this means that getting education and skills right is essential if we are to fulfil our potential.  Bolstered by our £3billion regeneration programme we truly have the opportunity to make Bradford great again.

As a people based organisation we place great weight on the way we look after our staff, something highlighted nationally when we were proud to be listed in The Sunday Times 20 Best Big Companies to Work for in 2006 – the first and only local authority to achieve this.  We expect our senior staff to inspire all around them with their vision, determination to succeed and their ability to positively influence the lives of everyone in the District.

I believe this is a start of a new era for Bradford and hope that you want to be part of it.
