Vision & Values
The Vision and Values that we have adopted underpin our drive for excellent customer services and improved and sustainable wellbeing. The Vision and Values set out below were arrived at after a series of workshops in 2005 involving over 600 members of staff.
The Council exists to secure and improve the wellbeing of all people in the district.
We are guided in this purpose, and in the actions and behaviours which flow from it, by a vision of the kind of organisation we need to be, and by an ethical and professional commitment to core values.
Our Vision
We aim to be an organisation which:
- works with citizens and other stakeholders to provide excellent leadership for communities aimed at securing and improving the wellbeing of all people within the district
- adds value to our places and to people's quality of life
- safeguards the interests of citizens, children and communities, now and for the future.
We want everyone who lives in the Bradford district and everyone who works for Bradford Council to be proud of their council and proud of their district.
