Education Contract Review; Project Lead

Soulbury 17 – 20 + 3 SPAs  £50, 091 to £53,398 pa( rising to a maximum of £56,573 under the pay award agreement from 1st Sept 2008)

37 hours per week 
Temporary Fixed term to September 2011

Bradford MDC has worked in partnership with SERCO, Education Bradford since the services for school improvement and related services were outsourced in 2001.   The contract expires in July 2011.  Before that date a full appraisal of the options and a plan for the future delivery of such services must be made.  All such plans must ensure that the most effective support is available to Bradford schools so that the children and young people of Bradford are able to enjoy their education and achieve the best possible outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated or equivalent with relevant project management experience and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of schools and strategies to support improved educational outcomes for all children. You must be capable of building relationships with a wide range of people, including Head Teachers, politicians and Local Authority Officers, facilitating workshops, chairing meetings and also possess excellent drafting and editorial skills.

You will be working in an exciting Local Authority at a key time in our transformation journey and will be making a significant contribution to developing our vision for the future of Education in Bradford.
