What is a Neighbourhood Forum?

It’s an open meeting at which you can:
- Hear about plans of the Council and other organisations that affect your neighbourhood
- Raise concerns or ask questions about public services in your neighbourhood
- Make suggestions about how your neighbourhood can be improved
- Meet and get to know other people who live and work in your neighbourhood
Who goes to Neighbourhood Forums?
You – the public
- Someone from the Area Co-ordinator’s office, who will give information, answer questions and offer you the chance to have your say
- Guest speakers from agencies such as the Police, Yorkshire Water, the Fire Service and Health providers
- Representatives from voluntary and community groups that are working in your area
- Local Councillors and Council Officers who come to forums to hear your views and provide additional information

The Neighbourhood Forums are organised and run by the five Area Co-ordinators and their teams one for each of the parliamentary constituencies.
