Support the Connect2 project

We have won!

Bradford needs you! Support the Connect2 project

Connect2, created by the sustainable transport charity Sustrans, is one of four projects competing for a single £50 million giveaway from the Big Lottery Fund's: The People’s £50 Million contest on ITV this December.

A public vote will decide who wins £50 million. If Connect2 is successful Bradford will get a new footbridge across Manchester Road.

The new footbridge, to replace the old one near Newby School, is at the heart of the South Bradford Living Street Project and needs to be built to join up this attractive walking and cycle route connecting communities in Bradford.

Living Street Project

The South Bradford Living Street Project creates links between the City Centre - Park in the Heart, the National Media Museum, Bradford University, St Luke's Hospital, the Spen Valley Greenway and beyond.

Throughout the UK, Connect2 aims to transform local travel in 79 cities, towns and villages by creating new walking and cycling routes for the journeys we all make every day.

Sustrans' Connect2 is the only project competing for the Big Lottery Fund's £50 million award that includes something for Bradford and without your vote the money will go elsewhere.
