Do you want to:
- Become a sports coach
- Support schools and teachers in delivering the curriculum
- Develop a network of after school sessions and inter schools competitions
- Develop an Active Sport Programme with West Yorkshire Sports Partnership
- Provide a programme of more casual sporting opportunities
- Organise coach education courses for teachers, coaches and future leaders

The Sport and Leisure Service’s Community Sports and Activities Development Unit, in partnership with other providers, offer a range of coaching qualifications.

The Community Sports and Activities Development Unit work in schools to help deliver specialist sport sessions in curriculum time and out of school hours.
We provide lesson plans, organise inter school competitions, offer exit routes for children to play sport and participate in physical activity outside of the school setting and introduce pupils to sports leadership and coaching.
