The Bradford Playhouse
 | Description: The Bradford Playhouse, formerly The Priestley and before that, The Civic Theatre, is Bradford’s historic and intimate theatre in the heart of Little Germany. Founded by J. B. Priestley, it consists of the main auditorium, a studio, rehearsal rooms, a vast wardrobe and costume department, a bar and coffee shop. For nearly a century it has provided the city with the performing arts from in-house productions to community theatre as well as art exhibitions and film-screenings. |
The Playhouse will be opening its doors on Bradford Heritage Day for public tours of the building. Our staff will act as guides and in traditional costume will show groups around every area of the phenomenon that is the Playhouse, including all the backstage areas with ghostly tales of the darker side of the building along the way!
