Young people are being given the chance to help run Shipley Youth Café.
Organised by Bradford Council's Youth Service, teenagers are being sought to join the Youth Today Tomorrow group - Shipley Youth Café Management Committee's under-18s sub group.
A recruitment event called 'Been there? Seen that? Join us!' will be held at the café in Market Street on Tuesday, 27 May, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
Young people will be able to find out about the café which provides space for 11 to 21-year-olds to meet and socialise, and also get advice and information from a wide range of agencies in a safe and friendly environment.
They will also be able to take part in a range of fun and interactive games and challenges, such as building a tower, to help bring young people together and raise awareness about team work.
Youth Participation Worker Debra Peters said: "The event is being held to show young people in the Shipley area what we have on offer in the café and to give them the chance to see how they can get involved, learn new skills and meet new people.
"Young adults are on the management committee sub group so they can help influence the development of the café and the services on offer and we hope lots of young people will come along to see how they can get involved."
Coun Colin Gill, the Council's Executive Member for Services for Children and Young People, said: "The café is proving to be a big hit and it's great to see young people being given the chance to help run the café for their peers."
The café was opened in May last year after the former Post Office building was refurbished.
