Manningham Library Update
Closure of Manningham Library for refurbishment and extension
The current Manningham Library building will close on Saturday October 11th at 4pm.
Building contractors are due to start work on site later in October once the building has been cleared by library staff. We anticipate reopening the building with its new extension in May/June 2009.
Alternative Service Provision during this period includes
1. Relocation of daily newspapers to Manningham one-stop shop
2. Extended opening hours at Girlington library
Monday 9.30am – 7.00pm Thursday 9.30am – 7.00pm
Tuesday 2.30pm – 5.00pm Friday 2.30pm – 5.00pm
Wednesday Closed Saturday 9.30am – 4.00pm
3. Travelling Library in Manningham
The new Travelling Library which provides public internet access as well as a good selection of books and media will be sited close to Manningham Library at weekends
Opening times
Saturday 10.00am – 4.00pm Sunday 10.00am – 4.00pm
This service will commence in October 2008 – start date to be confirmed.
