Housing Strategy and Research
The Housing Strategy and Research Section produces the Joint Housing Strategy for the district and associated housing policies, supports the Bradford Housing Partnership and provides a housing research function.
In addition the section influences other local strategies and programmes, monitors progress on the housing strategy action plans, undertakes and commissions research projects to assist in the formulation of the various strategies, completes Bradford Council's annual Housing Investment Programme for the Government Office and reports various housing statistics to the ODPM.
In December 2003 Bradford's Joint Housing Strategy "A Decent Home in a Decent Neighbourhood" was awarded the Fit for Purpose rating by the ODPM in, amongst the first 25 local authorities in the country to receive this top-level ranking.
