Mental Health and Working With Black and Minority Ethnic Children and Families (Level 1)
This one day training will enable participants to understand key issues relating to mental health needs of black and minority ethnic (BME) children and families.
Learning Objectives:
- To begin to develop the ability to respond to the unique needs of children and families by integrating cultural knowledge and awareness into interventions.
- To support and sustain children and families within their appropriate cultural context.
- To develop skills and abilities required to interacting positively with children and young people from BME backgrounds who experience mental health difficulties.
Aimed At: This is a Bradford district wide Multi Agency Course for anyone working in Health, Services to Children and Young People, Education, Police, CAFCAS, Probation Services, Adult Services, Voluntary & Independant Sector.
