Domestic Abuse and Child Mental Health
This course will enable participants to understand a range of ways in which children and young people may be affected by living with domestic abuse and effect upon their mental health.
Learning Objectives:-
- To explore ways in which perpetrators may involve children in the dynamics of domestic abuse and effects upon their emotional well being.
- Identify some personal and organisational strategies to reduce barriers to help seeking and to identify methods of communicating with young people.
- Identify ways in which children might respond to living with domestic abuse and support needs of children and young people living with domestic abuse.
Aimed At: This is a Bradford District wide Multi Agency Course for anyone working in Health, Services to Children and Young People, Education, Police, CAFCAS, Probation Services, Adult Services, Voluntary & Independant Sector.
