Communicating with Children and Young People
Introduction to use a range of communication skills to work directly with children and young people
Learning Objectives:
- Recognising when it is your role, and duty to communicate directly with children and young people
- Understanding how to prepare for direct communication opportunities
- Using a range of methods and techniques including games, play work, and augmented communication methods, to maximise the effectiveness of your communication with children
Additional course titles that cover other aspects of communication include: Life Story Work & Preparation for Adult Life.
Aimed at: Bradford Council employed staff in Services to Children and Young People: Social Workers, Community Resource Workers, Family Centre Workers, Residential Workers and Foster Carers.
