Moving & Handling - Basic Back Care
This course is for those staff that have previously undergone a 1 day training but have gone beyond the two year update time.
If you are within the two years you need to attend a half day refresher.
Objectives:
- Improve awareness of current legislation
- Enhance existing abilities to address manual handling issues arising in the community
- Raise awareness of biomechanics and causes of back pain
- Consider the impact of Ergonomic interventions in relation to risk assessments and problem solving
- Provide staff with sufficient skills and knowledge to perform good manual handling practice.
