Mental Capacity - Care Management Training Sessions
The aim of the session is for participants to identify what needs to be considered when assessing mental capacity under the new Mental Capacity Act.
Aimed at: Adult Services Social care employees only: Adult Services Care Managers and Community Care Officers
Objectives:
- Understand the main principles of the Mental Capacity Act and the relation to practice.
- Practice defining capacity and the assessment of capacity using case study example.
- Understand your role as 'decision maker' in the 'best interest' of service users.
