An overview of the civil and criminal processes relating to domestic abuse.

Aimed at: Aimed At: This is a Bradford District wide Multi Agency Course for anyone working in Health, Services to Children and Young People, Education, Police, CAFCAS, Probation Services, Adult Services, Voluntary, Private & Independant Sector.

Learning Objectives:

  • Working knowledge of the current civil and criminal processes relating to domestic abuse.
  • Working knowledge of specialist support agencies available.
  • Knowledge of how to complete the forms necessary to gain a court order.
  • Recognise the advantages and disadvantages of using the civil and criminal system.
  • Able to chose the most advantageous course of action for your client, using the legal remedies available to you.
