Caring for People with Dementia

To gain an understanding that Dementia will affect a person's memory, feelings, perceptions and ability to communicate.

Aimed at: Frontline Staff employed by Bradford Council Adult Services who support adults with Dementia, both in the community and in care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Give delegates an insight into some of the different types of Dementia.
  • Understand the principles of Person Centred Care.
    An insight into some of the symptoms associated with different types of Dementia.
  • How to manage behaviour positively and communicate effectively.

Aimed at: Adult Services frontline staff who support adults with Dementia, both in the community and in care.
