What kind of help is there?
Within Bradford there are several organisations offering help with drug and alcohol problems, organisations like the Council and the Health Authority and specialist voluntary organisations.
They can give help from practical advice and information to counselling and prescribing.
Support and advice can also be given to families of people with alcohol and drug problems.
All the organisations work closely together and use each other's special skills. If you contact one organisation and its workers feel another organisation could help you more, they will discuss this with you. But you are welcome to contact any of the organisations.
Everyone has different needs, so someone will talk to you and together you can work out what your needs are and how they can best be met.
All drug and alcohol workers, whether professional or volunteers, will be sympathetic and will offer practical advice and help, in strict confidence.
