The Family Centre Service
The Family Centre Service offers a wide range of support services to families with children in need including children with disabilities and complex health needs.
The Family Centre core business covers 4 main areas:
- Child Protection
- Looked After Children
- Children in Need
- Group and Community Based Work
The Family Centres deliver services in partnership with other agencies in line with the Family Support Strategy
The Family Centres are currently in the process of becoming Children’s Centres.
The Family Support Service
The family Support Service offers help and support to families to improve home conditions and practical skills. Family Support Workers go into the home and work alongside the parent to support and enable them to make immediate changes to the physical environment of their family home.
The Family Support Service works closely with other Social Services departments and with outside agencies, delivering services as part of the Family Support Strategy.
