Brad Ford - The Lord Mayor's Mascot My name is Brad, that’s Brad Ford, and I am the official mascot for the Lord Mayor of Bradford’s Charity Appeal. As you can see I have a beautiful outfit to wear, this is my Civic Regalia, complete with Robes, Hat and Chain. I am a very cute and cuddly little bear; I am about 10” tall with soft brown fur and a very lovely face with just a hint of mischief in my eyes!’

You can see what I have been getting up to by going to Brad Bear's Picture Gallery (see link below).

Send us your pictures of your Brad Bear out and about and we'll put these in our Gallery too. You can buy your own Brad Ford Bear for £8 from the Lord Mayor's Appeal Office call 01274 434965 or use the 'Contact Us' link in the left hand menu and complete the Online Form for the Appeal Office.

by December of the year prior.

  • The Lord Mayor forms a Committee of volunteers to help raise money and organise events. If you are interested in volunteering please see ‘How you Can Help’
  • Individuals, organisations, local schools and the council and local businesses are all encouraged to support the Appeal and organise their own events to raise money.
  • For the charities involved being chosen to benefit from the Lord Mayor’s Appeal can provide a big boost to the annual fundraising target but more importantly it gives them a chance to raise public awareness about the work they do.
