Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy

Consultation on Bradford's Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy

Safer Communities Bradford and the Bradford Strategic Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) are seeking the views of local people and organisations on the draft Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy for Bradford.

The strategy sets the framework for reducing the various harms caused by the misuse of alcohol in the district. It is not an anti- alcohol strategy, as we recognise that drinking alcohol in moderation does have health and social benefits.

We would like your comments on the contents, and especially on the objectives. We want to know what you particularly like about it, and about anything you don’t like. Are there things missing which should be in the final version of the strategy? Should we be giving greater or lesser weight to certain aspects?

You can download the strategy below.

Please send your comments to: nina.smith@bradford.gov.uk

The closing date for comments is June 1st 2007.
