Unemployment
- There has been a recent upturn in unemployment levels in Bradford.
- According to the latest Annual Population Survey (April 2004 to March 2005) there are 11,200 people unemployed in Bradford, a rate of 5.4% of the working age population, compared to a regional figure of 4.4% and a national figure of 4.8%.
- After a sharp decline in JSA claimants in Bradford over recent years, the claimant rate has increased to 3.5% according to February 2006 figures - the highest levels since August 2003.
