Bradford Council Economic Statement

The Economic Statement sets out Bradford Council’s approach to, and role in economic development and the regeneration of the District of Bradford. It will be used to assess what is being done and by whom, and to establish effectiveness and any gaps in provision. This will lead to a realignment and reprioritisation of services, policy and investment. Changes arising from this assessment will be reflected in the Council’s Corporate Plan.

The Statement will also provide a key input into both the “Creating a Prosperous District” sections of the District’s Community Strategy and the development of a new Economic Strategy for the whole District.

This document (with the associated action plan) forms the Council’s response to section 33 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 which provides powers to promote economic development.
