Council Tax change of name form

If you think the names on your Council Tax bill are wrong, you can notify us by completing this form. Before attempting to complete the form, you should read the explanation about Who is Liable for Council Tax?

If the change involves a liable person either moving in or out of the property and a new or finalized bill is required, see either—

• Change of address—Property Being Vacated; or
• Change of address—Property Being Occupied.

If the names on the Council Tax bill are simply wrong (e.g. incorrectly spelt, or your first name is not shown) or the name of the liable person has changed (e.g. due to marriage) complete this form.

This form should be completed by the liable person for the property shown.

As a minimum, fields marked with a • should be completed.
