

The Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership, form our Children's Trust arrangements for the district. This Partnership has oversight of delivery of goals related to children and young people and ensures that outcomes for children are actively promoted and supported by each of the other Partnerships.
The Children Act 2004 requires that each local authority has a Children and Young People's Plan which is a single overarching plan for the Council and its partners to work together on improving outcomes for children and young people.
The district's first Children and Young People's Plan 2006-2009 was developed in consultation with a wide range of individuals and organisations in both the statutory and voluntary sector.
The Plan was reviewed in 2007, following a further consultation as part of the annual review process. Consultation with children and young people included a peer led process through the Bradford and Keighley Youth Parliament . The detailed views expressed by children and young people are set out in Appendix 1 of the Plan. Action taken in response to their views are reported back regularly to children and young people.
