Kids Area: Destination Earth
At this year's Bradford Mela come along to the NEW and very special children's area and take a trip around our beautiful world.
Check-in, collect your passport and start your journey across the globe. Visit the Yurt tent, a traditional home for people in central Asia. Fly across to Baluchistan in Pakistan and the Punjabs in India and across to Bangladesh.
You can also visit Australia, Africa, and South America and take in the warm sunshine of the Caribbean.
Each place you visit will have a different activity for you to try. You can make things, watch things, listen to some groovy beats and even learn some new dance steps.
"Destination Earth" is the place to explore and have fun at this year's Mela, so make sure you come along!!
Fabric at the Mela
Fabric's marquee will showcase the best of Bradford-based artists with a programme of live music, dance, film and an exhibition of paintings by Bradford artists. Kala Sangam - Bradford's own south Asian arts company with a mission of bringing people together through collaborative arts, will present a variety of music, dance and visual arts performances and workshops. these will include folk and classical dance styles, dhol and world percussion, mehndi painting and visual arts techniques.

Lord Mayor's Carnival Parade Tent
Be creative to create a parade
All weekend the team behind the LMCP will on site its your chance to be hands on and help make the Hands Across Bradford Bridge, try your hand at making carnival costumes, workshops and activities running all weekend and all invited to join a mini parade around the site during the afternoon.
The Carnival Parade will take place in the city centre on 21st June from 11AM - come down with your family and friends for an unforgettable extravaganza of colour and music with creative costumes and floats.
Experience the wonders of street theatre across Peel Park over both days. Enjoy music, dancing, magicians and puppet shows – there’s something for everyone.
