Street Scene & the Community
Street Scene (with the support of Waste Management) does get involved in many organised community events, and endeavours to support community interest in maintaining their environment.
Many of these events are organised or supported by the Area Co-Coordinators working in Neighbourhood Support Services, and if you are interested in participating in any form of community action they will be able to assist you.
Events could be anything from festivals, community clean-ups, action days, or just loaning litter pickers and green sacks to a voluntary group for a local voluntary clean up. We will collect the bags, litter pickers and rubbish after the event too.
Often these groups are:
- Schools
- Local community centres
- Neighbourhood Forum groups
- Other voluntary groups
- Probationary service
