Better Parking
From the 26th March 2009 Bradford Council took over the responsibility for enforcing parking regulations from the Police. This is known as ‘Civil Parking Enforcement’ (CPE).
Whilst the transfer of enforcement regulations will not alter or change any of the current parking restrictions, the Council will ensure that these are obeyed.
Increased traffic congestion and dangerous and illegal parking are causing problems for residents across the district. You will see more Civil Enforcement Officers, employed by the Council, in their distinctive blue and yellow uniform, patrolling the streets and car parks throughout the whole district, including the villages and rural areas, wherever parking restrictions are in place. They do not have set quotas or ticketing targets to meet.
Don’t forget - this will only affect you if you park in places where you shouldn’t or don’t adhere to the regulations!
