Free City Bus


Who is it for?

For anyone who wants to travel free in the city centre via the route below.

What is it?

The Bradford freecitybus provides free travel between key locations around the city centre.

When does it run?

Buses run every ten minutes from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday
and 8am to 5.30pm on Saturdays.

Metro’s freecitybus links Bradford Interchange and Bradford Forster Square rail stations, businesses, shopping areas, attractions, University of Bradford and Bradford College.

These are the stops:

  1. Bradford Interchange stand W
  2. Market Street
  3. Canal Road - Cathedral
  4. Forster Square Rail Station
  5. Forster Square Shopping Park
  6. Manor Row - Register Office
  7. Oastler Centre - Rawson Square
  8. Kirkgate Shopping Centre
  9. Godwin Street - Centenary Square
  10. National Media Museum - Ice Rink - Central Library
  11. Bradford College
  12. University of Bradford
  13. Morley Street Resource Centre
  14. Alhambra / West End

Is there a cost?

No. All journeys are free.

Are the buses accessible?

Yes. Each vehicle is fully accessible and can carry one wheelchair or buggy at a time.

Who provides it?

The free city bus has been developed jointly by Metro and Bradford Council and is one of Metro’s latest MetroConnect bus services.
