Household Waste Sites

Advice on disposing of plaster and plasterboard products (Gypsum) at household waste recycling centres

Bradford Council maintains 8 Household Waste Sites and over 60 Bring Sites across the district.

We encourage residents to use these facilities, particularly for materials they can’t dispose of using the available kerbside recycling schemes.

To find your nearest site please use our Postcode Finder which will list the nearest sites to you that can take the materials you wish to dispose of.

To improve householders' options in what they can recycle and where they can take their recycling, we have been renovating and redesigning our sites so now we currently have five upgraded sites with plans to upgrade a further site in the near future.

Alongside our redesign of these sites we have seen an increase in customer participation and interest enabling all our sites to make major improvements in performance.

Currently Bradford Council recycles or composts 72% of all waste taken to Household Waste Sites and 100% of everything taken to Bring Sites.

This is equivalent to 35,000 tonnes of waste collected at these sites being diverted from land fill thanks to your efforts.
