Pest Control
Council Pest Control Officers will deal with pests that are harmful to public health and well being at homes and businesses. Rodents, i.e. Rats and Mice, can be particularly unsettling due to their possible transmission of diseases. Rat treatments in residential properties are free but charges are made for other treatments. There are reduced charges for those in receipt of benefit.
The Pest Control service offers advice and can treat for a variety of pests including, wasps, fleas, and other insects as well as for rats and mice.
Our services can be arranged by telephoning during normal working hours, where our staff will provide advice and arrange for a Pest Control officer to visit. We aim to visit within 2 working days for rats, and within 5 working days for mice and insects.
