Pre Application Advice for Major Developments
The aim of the pre application service for major developments is to provide greater certainty and clarity to applicants and developers by identifying planning issues and requirements at the earliest possible stage and speed up the planning process. Furthermore it can help to minimise a developers subsequent planning application costs and avoid abortive applications.
Pre application advice will result in a higher proportion of subsequent applications being valid upon receipt and the increased likelihood of such applications being determined within the 13 week target period.
This service is aimed at major development proposals.
- Provisions of 10 or more residential units
- Any development of 1000sq metres or more of floorspace
- Developments involving a site of 1.0 ha and over (0.5 ha for residential schemes)
- Quarry or landfill proposals
- Waste management facility processing of 5,000 tpa or more
