Further Issues and Options Consultation

The Council undertook further public consultation at the Issues and Options stage between January and May 2008. The consultation focused on a revised Spatial Vision and Objectives which presented four spatial options for the location of housing and employment development within the District over the next 15 years. The following documents were available for public consultation:

Consultation Event Logs

A series of consultation events were held with local people, community groups, partners and stakeholders during the consultation period. Consultation Event Logs have been produced for each event which provides a record of the discussions and comments regarding the future development within the District and where it would be best located.

Summary of Written Representations

The document below provides a full record of all the written comments that were received during the consultation period. These comments will be taken into consideration during the preparation of the next stage - the Preferred Options Stage

Waste Management and Topic Paper 7: Environment (Minerals) Update

Following consideration of comments received during the Issues and Options stage, and to take account of changes to the national and regional policies, the Council felt it necessary to revise the documents relating to both waste management and minerals and provide more information to assist the stakeholders in choosing options and making further comments, prior to the preparation of the Preferred Options document. The documents below underwent public consultation between November and December 2008.
