Local Economic Assessment (LEA)
Bradford Local Economic Assessment
The Bradford District economic assessment will provide a common understanding of local economic conditions and how they affect residents and businesses. It will identify the strengths and weaknesses of the local economy, establish the local economic geography of Bradford and identify the local constraints and risks to economic growth and employment.
Partner engagement is crucial in developing the LEA to ensure it is robust and accurately reflects the economic reality of the district. This information can then be used to improve economic interventions and prioritise investment and resources.
Current progress
The draft Bradford District Local Economic Assessment (2010) summary document is available to view or download by clicking on the link above.
Also available to view is a set of thematic papers which provide a more detailed analysis of the data, plus a set of 30 ward-level economic profiles. Together these papers form the evidence base for the Economic Assessment and will also inform the review of the Economic Strategy later in 2010.
The LEA document will be revised with the latest data at the end of the year and finalised for publication early 2011.
