Pollution
Firms wanting to carry out processes which give off harmful emissions must apply for authorisation to Area Environmental Protection Teams. The teams are backed up by the specialist Pollution Control section, which provides information and training on work arising out of recent legislation and co-ordinates pollution work done throughout the division.
All enquiries on specific issues should be directed to the Area Environmental Protection team, while general and policy issues can go either to the area team or the specialist team.
