The following areas are designated conservation areas. Each conservation area has undergone a process of character assessment and boundary review. This has resulted in there being a Conservation Area Assessment document for each of the 59 conservation areas in the district. The first Conservation Area Assessment and Boundary Review was undertaken between 2001 and 2005.
