Saving energy will save money on your energy bills and reduce your carbon emissions to help tackle climate change.
Insulate your home
Insulation is one of the most effective ways to stop wasting energy in your home. For example, insulating an un-insulated loft could save you around £175 a year on your heating bills and reduce your carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions too.

Heat your home efficiently
Boilers account for around 60% of the CO2 emissions in a gas heated home. By replacing an old G-rated boiler with a new high efficiency condensing boiler and improving your heating controls, you will significantly cut your home's CO2 emissions - saving as much as £300 a year.

Switch off Appliances

When buying electrical appliances, such as washing machines choose A-rated ones with Energy Saving Recommended labels, these will use less energy.
