Passport to Leisure

Who is it for?

  • Students (aged 16+ in full time education)
  • People receiving benefits (means tested and disability benefits)
  • People over the age of 60

Any Bradford District resident who is getting:

  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Council Tax Benefit (NOT Reduction)
  • Rent Rebate
  • Housing Allowance
  • Incapacity Benefit
  • Widowed Parents Allowance
  • Carers Allowance
  • Job Seekers Allowance

Or if you are on an Employment Training Scheme/New Deal Scheme Incapacity Benefit

And non-earning dependents of the above

Or if you are:

  • Aged 60 or over
  • Receiving Disabled Persons Tax Credit
  • Receiving Disability Living Allowance
  • Receiving Carers Allowance
  • On a Youth Training Scheme/New Deal
  • Retired due to permanent ill health
  • Aged 16+ and in full time education

What is a Passport to Leisure Card?

A handy, attractive card which gives you free or reduced admission to a range of leisure activities such as:

  • Reduced admissions to swimming sessions
  • Free admission, free equipment hire and half price activities at sports centres (48 hours notice)
  • Discounts at the Alhambra Theatre and St George's Hall
  • Reduced prices at East Riddlesden Hall, Pictureville and Imax at the National Media Museum, Bradford Bulls and Bradford Ice Rink
  • Half price for games of bowls, tennis, putting and pitch and putt at Council facilities

How long does it last?

Up to 12 months

3 years for over 60's (optional)

Who provides it?

Passport to Leisure is a Bradford Council scheme with support from other organisations such as the National Media Museum and East Riddlesden Hall.

How do I apply?

Fill in the Application Form Section of the leaflet, below

Take it to one of the centres listed below with a passport size photograph and proof of your eligibility and address.

Is there a charge?

A Passport to Leisure card will cost:

£2.20 for an Adult Card
£1.10 for a Child Card
£5.00 for an Over 60’s - 3 year card
