The Council works closely with the Showman’s Guild of registered funfair operators to provide a programme of funfairs across the district during the summer months.
Fairs are provided in line with an agreed schedule of sites and occasions and the Council does not allow additional funfairs on its land unless they form part of a larger event.
Persons wishing to operate a small fair on council owned land as part of a larger event are required to give the Council notice prior to the holding of the event and must satisfy certain criteria.
