As well as fiction and non-fiction sections we have Asian language books, Polish books, local history books and photos, audiobooks, DVDs, a photocopier, meeting rooms and a display area available for hire, computers with free internet access and a colour printer. There is also free Wi-Fi.
We offer access to beginners' computer courses and hold storytime sessions with craft activities for young children every week.
We have full disabled access and an induction loop.

About Shipley Library
This library was opened in 1985 and is part of the ASDA supermarket complex which is well located in the town centre. It is a single-storey building which includes the library, community meeting rooms, with kitchen facilities, exhibition area, and a base for Bookstart in the district. Overall, the building has a floor area of 1437 square metres. The building is fully accessible, having automatic main entrance doors and level access throughout. Parking is available for staff and customers.
As well as over 31,000 books and free internet access, the library offers reading groups, taster sessions for IT learners, and access to information throughout the district.
