There are many different ways to find out about private rented property. Properties can be advertised in newspapers, magazines, shop windows, on supermarket notice boards, through estate agents, letting agents and on websites.
If you choose to go through a reputable estate agent or letting agent it is sensible to choose one that is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA). See the ARLA website for help finding a letting agent in your area.
