Advice for Landlords

Bradford Council works with Landlords, Letting Agents, Tenants and other organisations to improve the quality of private rented housing across the Bradford District, encourage responsible letting, support good practice and raise confidence in the private rented housing market in Bradford.

In addition to ensuring that rented property meets the required standards, Housing Service also offers advice, guidance and support to Landlords through one to one contact and initiatives such as Best BD Homes (the accreditation scheme for Bradford Landlords), the Bradford Landlords Forum and the Landlords newsletter ‘Lets Talk’.

For more information on all aspects of renting your property in Bradford please use the links on the right hand side of the page, or contact the Housing Service.

Please note: The information contained on the Council's webpages is to provide general guidance only, it does not provide an authoritative interpretation of the law; only the courts can do that. Nor does it cover every case. If you are in doubt about your legal rights or obligations you would be well advised to seek information from a Solicitor or from a national landlords association.
