What are the advantages in joining Best ^BD Homes?

Best ^BD Homes is free to join and was set up in consultation with Bradford Landlords to promote good practice, help promote the demand for a healthy private rented sector with properties of a good standard and to offer real incentives for responsible landlords.

The incentives are:

A Landlord's Handbook
Each landlord will receive a handbook packed with information and advice on tenancies, rent, property maintenance, electrical and gas safety, furniture regulations and what to do when problems occur.

Discounts from the West Yorkshire Traders List
A landlord of an accredited property will be entitled to discounts on products and services for each accredited property from local traders participating in the scheme. Bradford Council has worked with the other 4 West Yorkshire Authorities through the West Yorkshire Accreditation Partnership to secure discounted products and services from over 270 companies including:

• Building Companies
• Plumbing Companies
• Insurance and Financial Companies
• Double Glazing Companies
• Drain Companies
• Carpet Companies
• Electrical Companies
• Gas Companies

A full list of all the companies participating in the scheme is contained in the Landlords Handbook, landlords of accredited property simply present their Discount Entitlement Card (which they will receive along with their certificate of accreditation) in store to obtain the discount.

Free advertising on ‘Home Hunter’ www.bradfordhomehunter.co.uk
Homehunter is a website and hotline which is used to advertise Bradford Community Housing Trust, Housing Association and Best ^BD Homes properties. Only private landlords with property accredited with Best ^BD Homes may advertise their properties on this site.

Mediation
Mediation is provided by the Best ^BD Homes team for landlords of accredited properties as a first point of contact to resolve disputes regarding complaints about repairs to the accredited property.
