The Housing Act 2004 requires that a house should be free from any hazards that pose a risk to health and safety such as cold, dampness, electric shocks or falls etc. Any repairs or improvements made to your property should aim to reduce or eliminate any hazards present, for further details please see Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
