Advice for Overcrowded Households
Bradford is part of the government’s Overcrowding Pathfinder programme, and receives funding to help tackle overcrowding in the district.
If you live in Bradford and your household is overcrowded, read the advice leaflet and booklet available below.

Measures implemented in the programme include:
- Widening access to the Incommunities bond scheme
- Space saving furniture grants
- Help recycling empty homes for overcrowded households
- Visits to overcrowded Housing Association tenants
- Work with other agencies to deliver a “Housing Options” service for overcrowded households
- Support for Incommunities tenants whose home is bigger than they need to move to a smaller property – making available family accommodation for overcrowded households
