The Housing Strategic Information & Support Unit produces the Joint Housing Strategy for the district and associated housing policies, supports the Bradford Housing Partnership and provides a housing research function.
In addition the unit influences other local strategies and programmes, monitors progress on the housing strategy action plans, undertakes and commissions research projects to assist in the formulation of the various strategies, completes Bradford Council's annual Housing Strategy Statistical Appendix for the Government Office and reports various housing statistics to the Department of Communities and Local Government.
The new Joint Housing Strategy for the Bradford District, "Sustainable Homes and Neighbourhoods in a Successful District” was published in December 2008 and is now available for download or as a printed booklet.
