Working in Partnership through Early Support

Early Support is the Government mechanism for achieving high quality, more co-ordinated services for disabled children under five and their families. The role of Early Support is to:

Facilitate more effective partnership working so as to improve services for young disabled children and their families;
Address training need and to support the development of a multi-agency workforce;
Raise expectations about the way agencies and services work together to meet the needs of children and their families.

The course provides an excellent opportunity to find out more about: the benefits of multi-agency working, the skills of supporting families using the Early Support materials and approach, keyworking and related local issues. This training also supports practitioners to develop a reflective approach to partnership working and builds parents/carers confidence in working with a wide range of services and agencies.

Aimed At: SENCO's in a non-maintained sector, parents/carers, practitioners from schools, early years settings and children's centres working with children and families from birth to five; colleagues in health education and social care working with children in this age range.
