Team Teach - Basic Advanced and Refresher

This accredited Team Teach training sets high standards of training and guidance to staff where restrictive physical interventions may be required. The basic course is for two days followed by the advanced one day course.

To remain certificated, workers must attend annual 1½ day refresher courses.

Course description:

Aimed at medium and high risk service settings, the course covers

Personal safety
Risk reduction strategies
A range of positive handling and interventions
Focus on policy, documentation and legal guidance

Aimed at: CBMDC Social Care nominated staff in Residential and Respite Children’s services who may need to hold or move a child whose behaviour could indicate foreseeable risk.
