Solution Focused Approaches - An Introduction

This course is aimed at practitioners that wish to develop their understanding of Solution Focused Approaches and learn how to embed the approach into their own working practice. This course will be of particular interest to practitioners who undertake Common Assessments or who manage those who undertake them.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course you will understand:

  • The assumptions that underpin the Solution Focused Approach
  • How to identify strengths and resources
  • How to apply methods like the ‘Miracle Question’ to help find out what the child/ young person wants
  • How the principles of ‘Scaling’ support the framework of the Solution Focused Approach.

This training is free to practitioners working with children and young people in the Bradford District.
