Moving and Handling Objects
This course will provide staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to manage the safe manual handling of inanimate loads within their working environment.
Objectives:
- Improve awareness of current legislation
- Enhancing existing abilities to address manual handling issues arising in working environments
- Raise awareness of biomechanics and causes of back pain
- Consider the impact of Ergonomic interventions in relation to risk assessments and problem solving
- Provide staff with sufficient skills and knowledge to perform good manual handling practice
Aimed at: CBMDC (Adult Services and Services to Children and Young People) Social Care Staff who need to carry or lift objects.
