This course will provide staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to manage the safe manual handling of inanimate loads within their working environment.

Objectives:

Improve awareness of current legislation
Enhancing existing abilities to address manual handling issues arising in working environments
Raise awareness of biomechanics and causes of back pain
Consider the impact of Ergonomic interventions in relation to risk assessments and problem solving
Provide staff with sufficient skills and knowledge to perform good manual handling practice

Aimed at: CBMDC (Adult Services and Services to Children and Young People) Social Care Staff who need to carry or lift objects.
